IDS has four main stand-alone Data Logger types and also has IDS data acquisition technology integrated into some or our turnkey products such as the smart tracker, the IDS Tide Gauge and others. Some of the features that make IDS-Monitoring data acquisition solutions better include the following :
Reliability - IDS uses state of the art technology and our electronic and software systems are designed and built to last. The loggers have several levels of self diagnosis and key intelligent functions have been implemented to migate against component failure -
Easy to setup - Initial configuration and maintenance of your setups is fast and unlike some alternative systems no programming skills are required to setup an IDS system. |

Ultra-low power consumption and smart power management means that IDS Data Acquisition systems uses only a fraction of the power consumed by most others. This means that when deploying systems significantly less power infrastructure (e.g. solar panels, batteries, etc) is required and this reduces size and cost. |
Multiple Telemetry Options - All of the above-water IDS Systems can deliver data using a mix ISM Band Radio (433-868 Mhz),GSM SMS, GPRS, Direct dial over GSM or fixed line and Iridium Satellite.
Flexible Interfaces - IDS data loggers have great flexibility offering almost any type of analog or serial interface. Loggers can be configgered for 0-5V, 0 -20V or 4-20ma analog inputs, RS232, RS485, digital pulse counting and SDI-12.
Intelligent adaptive sampling allows the user to easily configure the systems to automatically change or adapt their operation based on what they are measuring in the environment. This can be used to automatically study certain events in more detail such as a flood or pollution incident.

Sophisticated alert management. The IDS alert system is very powerful, yet simple to setup. Not only have IDS system the normal threshold alarms but IDS have compound alarms where you can define trigger conditions involving a combination of parameters and values (e.g if water level exceeds 2.3m and turbidity exceeds 20NTU then trigger the alarm). It is also possible to establish frequency alarms where a set of conditions has to be repeated some number of times before an alert is issued. This prevents false triggering by one-off outliers. These and other alarm functions allow the user to easily build intelligence into the monitoring system. |

| IDS DataLink delivers data to the WEB. The DataLink web pages are feature-rich allowing the station owner/administrator manage access to their data at station or parameter level. DataLink can be used to manage automatic data validation, customise data display, export data, annotate and edit data, manage alarms and more. |
